typical distance on big game with your firearm?

Just wondering what your average or typical shot distance is when you shoot at your big game?

I've taken whitetails on the run from 30-70 yards with a handgun, and anywhere from damn near on top of them to 400+ yards with the rifle. There is no "typical" for our type of deer hunting. You shoot what you can scare up!

50 to 100 yards. I did witness a member here take a whitetail with a 50 cal smoke pole at 308 yards , off shoulder . Best shot I ever seen , dropped it in its tracks.

That was with a 45 cal. CVA ultima pro fluted barrel and the only range finder I used was Kentucky windage.....

Let's see. 2016, antelope at 360 yards, elk at 125.
2015, 2 antelope, one at 300 yards, one at 225.
2014, elk at 275, running, 2 antelope at 500. (Yes, I am not making this up. One antelope was witnessed by two people, the second by one.)
2013, 3 antelope, at 125, 300, and 200 yards.

All measured with a laser rangefinder, many after the shot.
